Abba night - 29th January
Bob wishes to thank everyone who came along to the Abba night on Tuesday 29th January to help celebrate his birthday. He thanks you all for the cards, presents and good wishes. It was indeed yet another jolly Jalsha evening; good food, service and company - 38 of us - and of course good dancing. Thank you. Bob

Festive Dinner, Show & Overnight Stay on Marco Polo Cruise Ship - 8th December
A massive thank you to Tracy for organising a fantastic event on the Marco Polo Cruise Ship.  Not having been on a cruise ship before I had no idea what to expect.  I was pleasantly surprised.  We all enjoyed a delicious five course festive dinner, followed by entertainment and dancing.  One minor disappointment, I didn't wake up in the Bahamas the next day. Thanks Tracy for all your efforts, much appreciated. Sharon

Murder Mystery Supper - Saturday 3rd February
Thank you Karen & Bob for organising this event.  Approximately 20 Socialites gathered to solve the murder of Hans Aloveru.  The year was 1890 and it was the 100th anniversary of the open air theatre at the end of the pier owned by Hans.  Everyone had a motive and it was down to us super sleuths to solve the mystery.  The suspects came round to our tables for us to quiz them and a few of us solved the mystery of whodunit!  Included in the ticket price was a very tasty 3 course meal.  The event raised £1,986.72 for Cancer Research UK.  A very enjoyable evening (despite the hall been a bit on the cold side).  Sharon

Gill's House party - Friday 30 March (Good Friday)
A big thank you to Gill for hosting her Easter Party.  It was a great evening with Easter Bonnet competition, nice company, food and dancing - Jennie (aka the Easter Bunny)

Brewers Fayre breakfast - Sunday 25th February
Thank you to Ann Lewis for putting on the Brewers Fayre breakfast on Sunday 25 Feb. It was a cosy group, just 5 of us, which made it easy to have a good old chat about putting the world to right. We were still there until almost 2pm!! Great food and company – a big thumbs up! Debbie

Home meal and quiz - 19th February
A big thank you to Chris Perkins from those who attended her lunch and music quiz on Sunday 19 February. Everyone contributed and agreed that the food was lovely. The music quiz, based on film themes, was a lovely idea and good fun.
